PADI Night Diver Specialty
COURSE OVERVIEW
Ever been on a dive during the day and watched the marine life while wondering "what happens to you at night?" Dive sites takes on a new personality at night as many underwater creatures and plant life are active at night.
The PADI Night Diver Specialty offers a unique opportunity to witness marine life's nocturnal behaviour under the moonlight and learn a whole new way of communicating with light!
What you'll learn
You'll perform three training dives during the PADI Night Diver Specialty. You will focus on what's visible in your light's beam, controlling your buoyancy with less visual references and close buddy contact.
· Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems & hazards of night diving
· Proper procedures for buoyancy control, navigation and communication
· Use of dive lights and buddy-system techniques
· Disorientation and emergency procedures
· Orientation to nocturnal aquatic life
The Scuba Gear You Will Use
All the equipment you will need is provided for the PADI Night Diver Specialty. You'll use all the basic scuba gear including a mask and snorkel, fins, a wetsuit, a buoyancy compensating jacket (BCD) that carries the scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from and gauges to monitor depth and air supply. Your PADI instructor will also share with you a dive torch and compass.

Now you have seen marine life at night, you might want to capture the moment! The PADI Underwater Photographer Specialty will teach you about light sources and the best angles to shoot from.
